The hut itself holds nothing valuable — the location is the prize. It's the only structure with a dedicated witch spawning area, which makes it the foundation of every witch farm: automatic redstone, glowstone and gunpowder for the rest of the world's lifetime.

Why do people build witch farms at swamp huts?
Inside the hut's spawn volume, witches are the only mob that can spawn — and they keep spawning as long as it's dark, forever, no spawner block needed. Light up or slab the surrounding swamp so the hut gets every spawn attempt, funnel the witches into a killing chamber, and you get a steady stream of redstone, glowstone, gunpowder, sugar, glass bottles, spider eyes and sticks.
What spawns in a witch hut?
The hut generates with a black cat inside — one of the few natural black cat sources, and it never despawns — and witches spawn in the hut's volume whenever it's dark. Only witches can spawn there, which is exactly what witch farms exploit.
Where do witch huts generate?
Only in regular swamp biomes — mangrove swamps don't get them. They sit on stilts over the shallow water, a small spruce shack with a cauldron and crafting table inside.
Which versions have witch huts?
Swamp huts were added in Java 1.4.2, so nearly every version the site supports will show them. Positions differ between versions, so pick the version your world was generated in.
Does the witch hut finder work for Bedrock Edition?
Yes — flip the Java / Bedrock toggle above the map. One catch: on Bedrock, desert temples, jungle temples, witch huts and igloos all share a single placement grid and the local biome decides which one generates. So the Bedrock results are those shared candidate spots — a marked spot may turn out to be a different one of the four (or, rarely, none). Bedrock also uses a different RNG than Java, so positions differ from Java for the same seed.
