How this list is made
Every seed here passes the same test: you spawn in a livable biome with a village within 350 blocks, a ruined portal within 500, and at least five different biomes inside a 512-block radius. That combination means food, beds and trades on day one, an early nether route, and enough terrain variety that you never need to travel far for wood, sand or stone variants.
Each card shows the exact spawn point and the coordinates of everything nearby — open any seed in the seed map to scout the full world before you commit.
Want to scout any of these worlds first? Open a seed in the interactive seed map to pan the full world, toggle structures and copy teleport commands.

Frequently asked questions
- What makes a good survival seed?
- A safe spawn biome, an early food and bed source (usually a village), quick nether access, and biome variety close to spawn so early-game resources don't require long trips. Every seed on this list is checked against all four.
- What version do these seeds work on?
- Any current Java release. Surface worldgen has been essentially unchanged for several updates (26.2's new sulfur caves are all underground), so a world you create today generates the same overworld layout shown on the cards. Playing an older version? Use the per-version lists — each is verified on that version's own worldgen.
- Do these seeds work on Bedrock Edition?
- No — Bedrock generates worlds differently, so the same seed produces a different map. These lists are Java Edition; Bedrock lists are planned.
