About these 1.18 seeds
Every seed here passes the same test: you spawn in a livable biome with a village within 350 blocks, a ruined portal within 500, and at least five different biomes inside a 512-block radius. That combination means food, beds and trades on day one, an early nether route, and enough terrain variety that you never need to travel far for wood, sand or stone variants.
1.18 (Caves & Cliffs Part II) rewrote terrain generation completely: world height stretched to Y −64…319, six new mountain biomes, and cave systems bigger than anything before it. It's also where modern seeds begin — a 1.17 seed generates a totally different world — and 1.18.2 is still a heavily-played modpack version. Every seed below was verified on 1.18 generation itself.
Verified for Java Edition 1.18 (Caves & Cliffs Part II). Biomes, terrain and structure locations are identical across 1.18 – 1.18.2, so 1.18.2 modpack worlds match these maps.

Frequently asked questions
- How is this different from the main survival seeds page?
- Same criteria, different worldgen: these are separate seeds found and verified on 1.18's generation. Our main survival seeds list is verified on the current version, and seeds don't transfer exactly between the two.
- Which releases do these seeds work on?
- The whole 1.18 line — 1.18 through 1.18.2, including 1.18.2 modpacks: biomes, terrain and structure positions are identical across the patches (1.18.2 only fixed cosmetic generation bugs like underwater snow patches). Later versions keep the same terrain engine but add structures and tweak placements (1.19's ancient cities, 1.20's trail ruins), so verify on our newer lists if you're playing past 1.18.
- Do these seeds work on Bedrock Edition?
- No — Java and Bedrock generate different worlds from the same seed. These lists are Java Edition only.
